RE: UK orders
I'm so pleased with mine. Arrived last Monday but I did not have it built till last Thursday due to work commitments.
I did the bed levelling modification with springs as my bed was slightly raised in the middle. I found that the spacers for the bed are not all the same size and that could have been why.
Here is my bed visualisation before springs with the spacers:

Here it is after calibration with springs:

Here is a print of a statue I downloaded and printed.
I still want to print that castle but running out of filament. 😉

@paulb
Finished building mine last night I'd say closer to 16 hours, but was tired when finished so only powered up tonight. Only a couple of issues on self test and now calibrating. Seem to have a bag of gummy bears left

Who is a lucky boy then 😉
Interesting results with the mod, however I will be actively avoiding messing with my MK3 when it arrives. Will be taking the If it aint broke approach 😀
I did however consider using my torque screwdriver to torque all the bed screws to the same torque. Prusa assured me this is not required but cant see how it will do any harm. Maybe leave it in reserve it the bed becomes an issue.
How much difference was there in the length of the bushes?
Tank you very much!
RE: UK orders
@clarmrrsn
I found a 0.2mm difference on one and that was enough for me and my bed was catching in the middle so something had to be done.
As far as I was concerned it was broken and had to be fixed. 🙂
Hope you get yours soon.
RE: UK orders
@ken-2
Assume yours was a full kit then? Mine was only a 40 min job. Impressed so far.
I printed a phone case I customised for my daughter with some cheap eryone filament, and it performed very well and looks great.
RE: UK orders
As a newbie to 3D printing, must admit I’m super impressed.
I printed the tree frog today, and switched filaments a few times, this is a mix between Prusament PLA and Eryone PLA.

That is so cool, I really like that.

@paulb
Yes it was i3 MK3 Kit - the built and mini was reporting up to 8 weeks at the time
RE: UK orders
The test whistle is incredible.
I've tried three times to get that sodding whistle printed tonight, using the sample of silver Prusament. It breaks free of the bed every time 🙁
Managed to print a pretty good Benchy and a frog earlier today, but since then I’ve had nothing but jams and frustrations.
RE: UK orders
I would wash the build plate with Hot water and dish soap. rinse with Hot Water, and dry immediately.
I would also use 7x7 Mesh Bed levelling with a mk3 series printer,
and I would use the 'Life Adjust Z My Way' to ensure that the first layer was well laid down

RE: UK orders
@joantabb
Thanks; I'd just opened the Life Adjust thread in another browser tab 🙂
I upped the temp to 70 degrees and it seems like it's going to stick this time. Not happy I have the Z height sorted yet, but that's something to look at during one of tomorrow's interminable meetings 🙂
Which is about the best part of this journey I've found so far - it makes Zoom meetings less tedious.
RE: UK orders
First layer calibration is the least of my woes today; it's back to it's default mode of clogging/jamming somewhere 🙁
RE: UK orders
@richard-d
So sorry to hear of the trouble you are having. My mini has been behaving pretty well. I had to manually adjust the superpinda as it wouldn’t go low enough for the textured build plate, but otherwise it’s all been good.
Hope you get it sorted soon, and I’m sure you will learn more on the process.
RE: UK orders
The day has come 🙂
A package with my MK3S+ and some very friendly gummy bears (Who shall be sacrificed during the build) has just been shipped out today.
Just had the email from Prusa.
😀 😋 😜
Tank you very much!
RE: UK orders
@clarmrrsn
Watch the bears don't jump out the pack and mix up all your nuts and bolts on the way over. 😱
RE: UK orders
@rob-2
The bears won't be getting anywhere near my nuts 😳
Tank you very much!
RE: UK orders
Quick question.
I know the next stage once DHL have picked up from Prusa is to pay the vat and DHL fees, Do DHL send an email for this to be done online?
Tank you very much!
RE: UK orders
@clarmrrsn
I got an email, if you look at the tracking page on DHL, you can sign up for emails about your consignment, I'm pretty sure there are links on there once it is Customs Notified that you can use as well.
RE: UK orders
@mike-rawlins
Yeah I saw a notice before I got the email. As long as you get it paid before it gets to East Midland airport for clearance it shouldn't cause delays.
