I use long needle nosed pliers to get the filament before it does the bed levelling and purge. I am however going to either print or buy a plastic set as the metal ones can set off the pinda probe if I get too excited. I did get a set of rather nice set of fine brushes for cleaning nozzles with a batch of cheepo nozzles I for for my Anet A8 a few years back. the printer and nozzles were donated to the face shield cause but I still have the brushes.
The tool I would like however, but cannot find at present, is a soft brass brush to clean the nozzle/hotend of goop. I thought it would be as simple as getting an old fashioned suede brush but these all appear to be plastic now......damn this age thing.

I have to agree brass brushes are essential.
In the US, I have found a good price at Harbor Freight: Brass Brushes

No those are too fierce for my liking. I used to have wooden handled ones about the size of a toothbrush that had soft wire bristles for taking the mud off my desert boots.

I created my own nozzletool set:
The PEEK (CarbonPEEK) insert is heat-resistant up to 260 degrees C. The torque ratchet can be adjusted. Ideal in tight spaces.

Yes, printed it on a mod. MK3 (Pt100 upgrade up to 500 degrees C. , bedboost up to 150 degrees C.).
The fanshroud was also printed with the extrem heatresistant CarbonPEEK ( https://www.filamentworld.de/shop/high-performance-filament/peek-filament/3dxtech-carbonx-1-75-mm-carbon-peek/ ) or ( https://www.3dxtech.com/carbon-fiber-filaments/carbonx-peek-cf/ )

Beware of cheap brass nozzle which are brass plated steel, you can check with a magnet, they can damage brass nozzle hole if used with vivacity. No problem with hardened steel nozzle of course.

I cannot recommend cheap nozzles because high quality nozzles are an important part of successful printing. That's exactly where I don't save my money. And if you use them correctly, you will enjoy them for a long time.

Ho sorry reading me back I wrote a mistake I wanted to write beware of cheap brass Brushes they can damage brass nozzle because the are brass plated steel.
By the way I clearly do agree with you about high quality nozzle.

No need to apologise. I agree on the cheep nozzles. I'm not saying there aren't good less expensive ones but for now my prints have been so good I wouldn't want to upset the lady by getting her anything Joseph hadn't. 🤣
