Shipping Timing (for Prusa to ship) and transit time questions

I know this is an irritating question to some, but I'm trying to plan out the next week or two and I'm wondering if I should focus on something that'll take a number of days (but will be wonderful to get done!), or to not get so involved.

Is Prusa usually relatively prompt with shipping? I ordered my printer a few weeks ago and the ship date has been "within a week of 6/13." I wasn't expecting it to go out on the 13 and I'm not complaining - I know supply issues are getting to everyone these days. But is a shipping estimate like that usually on target? And for shipping time, I picked DHL and it said 2-3 days, but that's coming from Prague to the US East Coast, so I would think the 2-3 days is once it gets in the US. (I also went on, last week, and ordered an enclosure, but I figure there's a lot of people ahead of me for that, so it'll take time. I can wait on that, since I can get my printer working without it.)

I originally started with a Creality Ender 3 Pro, but no matter how carefully and how many times I tram the bed and auto-level it, it just won't put down a 1st layer. So I gave up on that after over a month of testing and moved to my CNC system to work on that. Now I'm just trying to figure out whether I should work on a few short- term tasks and chores and figure on getting my Prusa within the next 10 days or whether it would be more realistic to figure it'll take another few weeks or more to get here.

Again - NOT complaining, just trying to get a guess so I can make plans.

RE: Shipping Timing (for Prusa to ship) and transit time questions

2 years ago, when all were waiting for Prusa Mini, it looked like this/observation when I was waiting for my printer:

Usually on Monday, the "crew" sit and based on storage inventory wrote how many they can produce and set ready for shipping that same week. And probably some automated way(?) informed us that we will be in the next week or week other of estimated delivery. So the new public "waiting list" was updated usually till Tuesday. Sometimes I jumped sooner sometimes later by a week, but estimation when I ordered was almost exact (note there was a delay by 2 months due to covid...)

For shipping usually after lunch the post/DHL/UPS... arrive to Prusa to pick things for shipping in Czech republic. Stickers are generated online so it can exists before it is put on package even by a day. After that it is in hands of the delivery company, how good and fast they are. Usually it travels fast to destination country till it hit customs. Some got it to their hands within the same week (Australia), some were waiting for customs a whole week or more weeks until they released it.

Mine took 13 days to get here (US East cost) from the ship date.  But it was the end of December, which probably added to the delay.

I ordered my Mini+ kit back last October. The estimate was pretty accurate, my printer shipped within the week window the website said and as I recall it took about a week give or take from Prusa to west coast US.

Mini+ (kit) - Revo Micro | Antler Cooling | WiFi (4.4.0RC1)

Thank you for the responses. Sounds like for "within a week of 6/13" indicates I should allow at least 2 weeks or more before I get it, so I can dive into the one longer thing I have to do and get a few other things done as well before getting it in.

It shipped today (6/15). DHL says it'll be delivered on Monday, 6/20. That'd be nice, but I'll believe it when I see it's in the USA and already through customs.

My experience is that if it's something readily available, such as in-stock filament or a common replacement part, it will typically hit the door (here in the States, Omaha area) 6-7 days after I click the mouse.

Got it on time today - er, yesterday. Been up all night putting it together. Got the extruder done about 5:30 AM.

It got here faster than the parts shipped via FedEx from California for my Starlink internet connection!
