Re: Shipping Prusa filament from USA?
My spool of Makeshaper Greige arrived yesterday. I'm avoiding opening it because I have too many open spools of PLA aging on my shelf now, but I've realized a light color is great for prototypes and this color is really interesting. US-made. Delivery was $8, so not as stellar as MatterHackers, but it looks like good stuff. The spool has openings to see how much filament remains, unlike the pic on their site.
I noticed they have a sale on their gray, but it looks a bit dark for my needs. The greige, OTOH... What's it look like in person?
That's "MISTER Old Fart" to you!

It's essentially the ultimate light beige. Completely nondescript, so perfect for testing and probably good for finishing. No samples printed yet to show off.

Re: Shipping Prusa filament from USA?
I got a response about my question on Matter Hackers filament - Some are made in USA and some are not. They are cleaning up their listings - particularly on ebay and amazon.

I think we all knew that part.

That they listen and respond to their customers (or potential customers) says a lot to me.
YMMV.

I gotta take a little blame for letting stuff get political as well. It's certainly a matter of degree.
That's great they are labeling it, it lets folks make up their own mind.
Getting better stuff certainly worked, buying 5 rolls at a time and seeing 80% going into purge towers makes me care about price like I used to when I first started printing.
