SD Card

the printer does not recognize the SD card (Sandisk 64GB) although it does recognize the original SD card with the Prusa test prints OK.

What is the problem?

Best Answer by Ingenier007:

I believe I read somewhere that SD cards only work up to 32Gb.

You are correct I bought a 16GB card and it works fine. It is a pity Prusa does not put the limitation in their manual !!

I believe you can re format the 64GB SD card with Fat32 and make it work with the Prusa, but I have never tried it!

@joantabb

Hi there absolutely Magic. It worked, I had to download a freebee from the internet to format FAT32 as Windows 10 does not have FAT32 formatting as they disbanded some time ago.

But once I formatted the SD drive my printer is happy.

Many thanks

I've been able to format cards correctly using the SD Card Association formatter tool
