Scaling Down

  Hello I am new to this. I am trying to take a 3D file that is two big width wise. When I scale down all 3 axis its changes the bolt holes out of alignment.  What do I do to change the sign without distorting the holes on the item?  Please help  Thanks John

RE: Scaling Down

Are the bolt holes threaded or simple cylinders? If they are simple cylinders, you can right click on the object, select add negative volume, add a negative space cylinder and size as you please. The negative space volume will cut a hole in your object. Repeat for each hole that you need.

Also, small holes tend to shrink in diameter in the printing process, so make them a bit bigger than you need them to be.

Without actually seeing your model it's hard to offer anything besides wild guess and stabs in the dark...

@papa-john

Can you provide a Zipped up .3mf project file, exported from PrusaSlicer? I will take a look and see if I can help.

Note: the .3mf file must be Zipped up in order to post it here on the forums file server.
