Reinforcing around holes

Hi Guys,

Just took delivery of my new Mk3 and have started drawing and printed.

I designed a bracket that has bolt through it to clamp on to something, the problem I have is that there isn't enough material around the bolt hole and crushes easily when you do the bolt up. Other than printed the whole thing solid is there a way to reinforce certain parts of the bracket?

Many thanks

Russ

RE: Reinforcing around holes

Use MODIFIERS in the slicer to add perimeters to key areas that need more strength.

RE: Reinforcing around holes

Adjust slicer with more perimeters.

2 is standard, make this 4 or 6.

More infill will also help, max is 40 or 50%

Use different filament.

Use MODIFIERS to fill in to 100%, there where you need it.
