Prusa I3 MK2 Extruder upgrade ( from E3DV6 to REVO 6 )
Hi everyone
I have a Prusa MK2 printer that I bought in December 2016, an it still working good. I have decided to upgrade my E3DV6 ( 12 volts ) extruder to a REVO 6 ( 12 volts ) extruder. It fits perfectly but what I'm wondering is that ... is there any Firmware / software update that I have to do before using my printer. Thank you.

no firmware update, that I am aware of. are you on the latest firmware for MK2?
I would suggest that you do a PID TUNE, and
You MUST do a First layer calibration
the revo is supposed to be a drop in size for size replacement.

Any update to this question? I just broke the heatbreak to my E3Dv6 on my MK2S. Looks like a great opportunity to upgrade to Revo.
E3D lists support for MK3 and Mini on their configurator page. They list upgrades for the suite of Prusa printers but once taken to the configurator page those printers are not selectable. I had to go off what I remember and pick a Revo product compatible with E3Dv6 for my MK2S. The MK2S is 12v for anyone visiting from the future.
Long story short, E3D website has gotten quite bad for giving the information you need like not telling me if the products are 1.75mm or 3mm or simply listing the nozzle diameters on their hotend packs. So here I am, a Google search later.
