For the Window I would use a thick Transparend Plastic Sheet (or how does it call) and I would route the Edge out so the rest is x mm smaller so the Sheet should fit nice and tight into the Window "hole". Sure I dont have any Gear for that (now) but if it work it could maybe a permanent solution?
If someone here make a Model of that SBB Panorama Car:
yould be my Hero.
