Printing a multicolor vase

I managed to print a vase (this link) using PLA in a single color. After adjusting the setting for a slightly thicker wall, the vase appeared to be watertight. I used a layer thickness of 0.3 mm - thicker than adviced in general.

Now I want to print the same vase in multicolor layers.

Using OpenScad I managed to split the vase design in multiple layers, so I can print the vase in multiple layers in different colors.

Vase Mode cannot be used, as colorchanges will be needed.

I changed the settings to get an thicker wall, but I cannot get more then 2 perimeters. These perimeters do not exist of a continuous line, but of two lines where the second starts at a different spot than the first line. At the end the print is not watertight, whatever I try changing the settings. The leaks occcur at the start/end of these lines.

Does anyone have an idea how the change the settings to get an multicolor vase consisting of horizontal layers of different colors?
