PLA thermal characteristics?

Does anyone have an idea of how temperature affects the size of PLA? I'm thinking of making some snap-on labels for the shelves in the freezer, and since it typically runs at 0F/-18C, I'm wondering if the thermal characteristics of PLA are such that it may contract sufficiently to cause the tightly applied snap-on label to crack. Easy to check in practice, but if the size change is significant I would rather account for it in the design prior to printing out a bunch of snap-on holders and labels.

The only caveat, temperature-wise, I've heard about PLA has to do with heat, as in it's known to soften in a hot car.  I'm sure if it did not hold up in cold weather (same range of temperatures as in a refrigerator or freezer) we would have heard it by now.

Be aware that PLA is susceptible to "creep" under pressure. Parts will soften and deform if under tension, even at low temperatures. Depending on your clip design, they may fall off or loosen. Probably still "good enough" though.

@bobstro

Thanks for the tip. I'll make sure to keep an eye on them and check them from time to time.
