Number of downloads falling?
I recently uploaded two models that were gaining a decent amount of downloads. And then two days in a row they have "lost" downloads. Both models reached the "3 likes and 30 downloads" prusameters milestone, yet they both have less than that now. I took a screenshot after I noticed it initially (having lost about 20 downloads from each):

Yes, I noticed that too, see my thread from yesterday.
Apparently the Prusameter related download counter is not affected as I already received Prusameters yesterday before reaching the required number of downloads. The same applies to the likes, so obviously there are different databases for these counters. I assume it's a consequence of the reported DDOS attack two days ago and server changes using backups.
It's a bit annoying as I can't currently check my Prusameter related downloads properly.
An explanation from Prusa would be nice, and I hope this continued reset is now over.

Same thing is happening to me for at least one model I had posted into the dice storage competition a few days ago. The model reached over 30 downloads the first day (and I got the prusameter reward), but then it oddly reset to showing only 20 downloads last night. Today it was picking up downloads again and got to over 40, but then just now it got reset to 20 downloads again.
The other odd thing I noticed is that if I go to look at the "Analytics" for the model in my profile, I just see zeros for all the daily stats (views, downloads, collections, likes, etc.) Which can't be right given that the model has almost 40 likes on it if I just look at the model page itself.
Would love to know if this is a known issue that is being worked on (perhaps related to to the DDOS attack?), or something else?

It's up and down right now. My currently best performing design lost 150+ downloads that night, probably similar amounts the 2 nights before. Within the last hour, the downloads of this design increased by about 260, so it seems that at least a fraction of the lost downloads has been recovered. Some other designs are still showing lower download counts than yesterday. So at least something is happening...

There seems to be some database issue right now. I don't see such download jumps I think but not only downloads and likes are very low but also views are suddenly untypically low and had been zero temporarily for a few days (but then went up again for the same days).

Same here, numbers going down (inconsistently with the prusament count BTW)
The analytics were at zero for the three last day and seem to be back up right now. Maybe things are getting fixed now

I have now received another 160 downloads back for this design and also downloads for other designs. So I strongly assume they rebuilt (or are still rebuilding) the database in question.

I also confirm that my model just jumped up by about 60 downloads (some time in the last hour), and I'm also now seeing data on the "Analytics" tab within my profile for the past few days (instead of all zeroes). Yay! I see another one of my models is still missing downloads from the past few days, but I'm hopeful now that something is getting caught up to get these missing statistics restored. 🙂

It is happening to me right now, on mutiple Modells. It st a bit frustrating to see this, as I am very new to printables and want to use it as my place to post stuff. I already gernerated alot of downloads and my prints are well recived. Would be a shame if I had to move to another site when Printables is not up to the task.

I think they are just correcting a bug that showed up in the last few days. I noticed the download numbers shooting up by unrealistic amounts, but the 'analytics' numbers were more in keeping with recent history. My affected model has just reverted to a number that's now in line with yesterday's analytics total.

Ahhh.... alright, tbh i've noticed a unusual spike early this morning, when i realeased some nwe prints, i suddenly gaint like 30-40 downloads on an unrelated print.
A bit unfortunate. Also now, I only feel like half the badass, I thought I was XD.

same here. had about 1050 downloads yesterday, now it's down to 500...

Since we have all had the pleasure of experiencing this forum, it can't come as a surprise that the Printables website is not quite working correctly either? 🙄

The same thing happened to me !
one of my newer models dropped overnight from approximately 250 downloads to just 50.
I even had most downloaded models page open in a tab from yesterday (not refreshed) , so i took screenshots, refreshed the page, and saw that these models had also experienced a significant drop in downloads.
The number of likes stayed the same (or increased), it seems that only recent downloads were removed.
But it's true that my models, for example, had a lot bigger increase than I expected.
Perhaps there was an error in the counting, maybe more downloads were counted than should have been.

To be fair, both the Printables and forum websites work well 99.9% of the time! 🙂 At least for me. (The forum search function is super slow though but it still works).

Happened to me also yesterday. One model in particular went from approx. 1,200 downloads to over 2,500, then dropped back down to 1,200 the next day.

Well, there is some recurring strangeness -- like the login behavior, or the different content status depending on whether or not you are logged in, or the spontaneous utterings in whatever the language of the day is. Or the funky editing behavior when you try to shorten a quote in a post... And then we get the occasional "everything is offline" or "this page has broken in 500 pieces". All of which I attribute to the homebrew nature of the forum software, since I don't get them on other sites which run various open-source or commercial packages.

It also happened to me - one of my models reached 5000 downloads and I received the star of design red giant badg, then the downloads dropped down to around 3000 on that model and now my profile looks a bit strange with the badge and not enough downloads for that badge.
