Uploading one of my models from another website

I was uploading a model I created a while ago, which is currently hosted on Makerworld.

I wanted to publish it on Printables.com, but I stumbled upon an option I hadn’t noticed before (likely because it's the first time I’m uploading one of my own models from another website):

Reupload of another model – respecting original license.
I am reuploading from another website. Such model won't be rewarded with Prusameter points.

My question is:

Is it considered a reupload even if the model is mine, or should I mark it as an original one?

I searched the forum but couldn’t find any information on this topic.

RE: Uploading one of my models from another website

I'm not affiliated with PRUSA so please understand my post as such. I've read through the Terms and Conditions and there isn't anything directly answering your question about Prusameter points. However, model uploads fall under Third-Party Content and by doing so you grant Prusa certain non-exclusive rights to the model. If you uploaded a model to a different site, there is no way for PRUSA to know the scope of the other website's Terms and Conditions. For example, if by uploading your model to Makerworld you granted Makerworld some exclusive rights that overlapped with PRUSA's then that could set up a legal conflict. Also, Prusameter points are an incentive to create value for Printables.com, and exclusivity is valuable, so having the only copy of original models is more desirable than a copy of another site's catalog.

My advice is to delete your models from Makerworld and upload it as original if you want the Prusameter points.

Thank you for your reply.

I initially chose to keep it on Makerworld because they have a good customizer, and since the model is made with OpenSCAD, it felt like a convenient option for users who aren’t familiar with the software.

I’ll take a look at Printables’ terms and decide what to do next.

RE:

Sadly, AFAIK Printables doesn't have an OpenSCAD backend to support in-browser customizations that I'm aware of (something us on the Prusa Forums have been asking for ever since Printables started). I was unaware the MakerWorld did as the only place that I knew about with OpenSCAD backend for in-browser customizations is Thingiverse. Thanx for the heads up for me that MakerWorld does support in-browser OpenSCAD customizations.
