Need Help Understanding Start G Code

I am using Prusa Slicer with Anycubic Vyper.  Since there is no profile for this printer in Prusa Slicer I am adapting the MK3 start G code.  The first two commands are M862.3P and M862.1P which check the printer model and nozzle diameter.  Are these codes universal, that is, will they work properly with the Vyper?  And More importantly are they necessary for the Vyper?  My adapted profile seems to be working fine for my Vyper, but I'm just trying to better understand.  They are currently active in my Vyper profile which seems to be working fine.

M115 U3.10.1 to tell the printer the latest fw version - is this necessary on the Vyper? It also is active in my profile.

Likewise are the commands M104 S and M140 S to set the extruder and bed temperature effective for the Vyper? These command are also currently active in my Vyper.

M907 E430 and M907 E538 to set extruder motor current - I could not find any reference to setting the extruder motor current in Vyper literature, so I commented these lines out.

As I said earlier, my adapted profile seems to be working fine on my Vyper - just trying to understand.

Thanks for helping to educate an 85 year old guy.  George
