Just a Question

This is not a complaint I just seek knowledge. I have both an MK2S and MK3. Default speeds are 60mm/s and 80mm/s. Why does the MK2S consistently finish prints before the MK3? Even in Prusa Control the MK2S finishes first.

Thanks,

Neal

So much depends on the model and acceleration/jerk settings. Unless the model has straight sides it's unlikely that you are getting to the requested print speeds

That was my thought also. However I was printing boxes 200mmX100mmX160mm.

Well I was just wondering. That MK3 still creeps me out sitting over there making so little noise.

Thanks,

Neal

In that case, there's probably some slicer settings which are different; don't ask me which, I just don't have a clue!

I have generally found that with most prints, the Mk3 is slightly quicker.

Re: Just a Question

Since you mention the noise, you don't happen to have your MK3 in stealth mode do you? That will slow it down.
