Is there a Prusa of laser cutting devices?

I'm Prusa enthusiast, now running happily with both the MK3S and the MMU2.

I'd like to add a laser cutter to the family of home tools, mostly for precision cutting of acrylic.  I'm wondering whether there is laser cutting system out there that is similar in simplicity, economy and quality to the Prusa system for 3D printing.  I'd like a bit larger format... I would like to cut up to 48" in the ideal world... but I'm happy to start smaller.

Anyone out there with any experience in this area?

I am using a MPCNC with the Jtechphotonics laser.  The nice thing about the MPCNC is that you can make it any size.

Total Cost is around $700

Another option is an OpenBuilds / jtechphontonics laser bundle.

Open build has nice rails and the build is still pretty easy to do.   Total cost would be around $1200 to $2000 depending on the options.

Other options I looked at were  Shapeoko and Snapmaker,
