Hiding individual users on Printables

Is there a way to hide items and comments from a particular user on the Printables site? The only way I can see is the report button. I don't think the user has done anything wrong and see no need to report them. I just want to non-intrusively hide their models when I'm logged in and browsing.

Hello,

Thanks for the feedback and it was submitted to our web developers, there is a good bit of updates set in the future and I can't say exactly when it will be added, but its on the list 🙂

I know this is a two-year old post, but has the "hide user" functionality been added since 2022? If so, how do we access it?

If it exists, I can’t find it.

RE: Hiding individual users on Printables

right now there are certain users that do not mark their creations with "AI" label. However, it's quite clear almost all their models are generated and most of the time have no real value since cannot be printed. I have nothing against such models and such users in general, but I just don't want to see this AI slop in the output. There is one particularly noticeable example - @Owny_782189 who has only few models marked as AI, but it's kinda obvious almost all models have nothing to do with modeling.

There is no skill in creating AI models.  This has turned into a "See how much I can post" problem.  Thankful we have an ignore AI models button.  We also need an ignore NSFW and Political content button, please.

It's becoming clear that bots are just spamming models in and applying tags randomly as well. I will see a 3D model of some random character and it's tagged with political. Or a fidget spinner marked as NSFW. Etc.

What would a "political 3D print" look like? I don't think I have come across one yet. Figurines of your favorite president, or caricatures of the least favorite one?

Things like campaign slogans or activism of the day. But a model of Homer Simpson shouldn't count.

This is an example. I don't see alot of em, but I see a few every time I look now. Granted I had to look for this one. I see alot of models from new accounts that have incorrect tags, implying it's bots (or non English speakers, which is also very probable)

I see options to "exclude AI content" and "exclude political content" in the search/filter panel on the left.  In addition, if you go to Settings > Display & Privacy under your user profile (icon in the upper right), you can set permanent controls whether and how all three types of content (AI, political, NSFW) are displayed.

The annoying bit is I'm seeing (obvious) AI content that was not flagged as AI content by the user. I guess Printables will need an AI to flag it. Which is pretty meta.

Not an uncommon approach, I think. There are various AI systems online which offer to detect AI-generated text or images. It's an arms race... (Well, it is also an established method to improve generative AI; Generative Adversarial Networks.)

In the meantime, let's just report all AI models that are not properly flagged when we come across them. That might help Prusa realize that it's a problem.
