has anyone printed along vertical diagonal
i was thinking of printing along the diagonal of a prism in order to print a arming sword 60m in length , which according to the mathematics something like 60m should fit if oriented in this manner. Has anyone done this?

Naturally. Its a method I use all the time to fit things that wouldn't fit on a MK3 bed. Here is a crysknife blade as an example.
Its also surprising how little support you can get away with if your bed adhesion is good. One the bottom is secure the rest is just a slope.

I made some slotted rails to store print sheets under my enclosure. The only practical way I could print them was end on, and they were too tall for the MK3S+. I'd echo Neophyl's comment that it doesn't take much support. I added a decent brim just to be sure.

Personally I'd prefeer to cut it in smaller parts and print it flat, then glue it and post-process it with filler + sand paper + paint.
Or print something as 'collapsing sword' as one print where you literally print telescopic sword.

I meant 60 cm or 600 mm. But I think I'll print it out on my elegoo max. It's 500 mm tall but diagonally I can fit the 750 mm with 20 mm to spare. I will print on a raft and hope it adheres.

I guess your original question was about the XL build volume. Is the elegoo max a bed slinger? It's worth noting that printing a long diagonal on a fast bed slinger will involve quite a lot of shaking, so bed adhesion will be key. I would have thought the XL is more forgiving in this respect, since the print wont move. Of course my example and Neophyl's were both printed on bed slingers, albeit not at input shaping speeds.

The Elegoo Max 3 is a 1/5 of the price $400 vs $2000. Almost twice the volume at (42cm*42cm*50cm) vs the xl (36cm*36cm*36cm).
Yes the Elgoo is a bedslinger. I feel like Elegoo started to actually be good with the 3 series. Leagues better than Creality. I did a test print, handle on bottom left corner pointing up. The problem was not adhering. I only printed support in the base of the sword and it started to deform higher in the blade. I think this could be mitigated with more support along under the blade.
