Filament Vacuum Storage Level

I was wondering what you use as a vacuum level for you filament packaging. I have a vacuum box that I can seal bags with for storage, but didn't want to crush the spools.

Thank you,

I’ve used a vacuum food sealer. There was some deflection on cheap spools, and nearly empty spools, but nothing too bad.

Joe,

Thank you for the reply. I have almost destroyed (crushed) plastic containers using my vacuum box sealer.  😀 That was the reason for my question. At 0.13 MPa on a 200mm diameter surface results in quit a bit of force.

If you are worried about it, print some re-enforcements to support the edges.

I use vacuum envelopes with silica gel inside.
They are available On Amazon.

I use the 40x50 measure that is more or less adequate for a spool, but there are bigger where you can put also two spools.

Good idea, but the ones that I use are about 0.10 euros.

Thank you,

I use a Vacuum Sealer for that and it doesn't crush spools.
