Filament Material that can withstand Dishwasher temperatures

I am trying to make a replacement plastic part for a dishwasher. My first attempt was to make a part with PLA, mainly because I have a spool in the correct color. Attached is a picture of what happened the first time I ran the dishwasher with the PLA part. So, what filament material is available that can withstand dishwasher temperatures without melting or getting too soft. Thanks.

PETG might work.  PLA sucks up water and has a melting point that's much too low, so I'm not surprised at your PLA result.

ASA, PCblend, possibly ABS and nylon can withstand boiling water.

I will give PETG a try. I have had print issues with moisture in my PLA material. I should have known that PLA would be a big failure. Thanks.

I've made clothes buttons from ABS and PETG and sent them through the washing machine no problem. But a dish washer is hotter, and I don't think PETG will handle it. I'd try ASA or nylon.

I did the same repair a few month ago, my parts have a similar shape. I printed them in Prusament PC + CF and as of today they went through a lot of cycle without any problem. The handle of my utensils have kind of a sharp edge, but since the parts are in PC it doesn't get teardown.

Fillamentum claims that their ‘Nonoilen PLA’ is dishwasher safe. Unlike regular PLAs that start to soften above 55C, Nonoilen apparently withstands 150C before loosing rigidity.

Quoting Fillamentum :

“In addition to its mechanical properties, NonOilen filament is suitable for contact with food, and is also dishwasher safe. These properties are very different from other biodegradable filaments on the market, and allow parts made with NonOilen to be reused several times.”

I've actually been thinking recently of making exactly this kind of insert for my dishwasher. I have ABS on hand, so was planning on using that.

I work colleague of mine has a spool of ABS. I plan on sending him my STL file so he can make a piece for me.
