Dissappointed in first impression of Prusament ABS
Just received two rolls of Prusament all the way from CZ to California. Shipping was fast, that was good. My last roll of filament (from another company) was very bad, so I opted to buy "great" filament from the company that makes 3d printers. I was confident in my purchase because the website says +/- 0,03 (originally 0,02 in 2018) tolerance and I could scan the QR code and check the data myself.
Upon receiving the filament, the first major issue, the label on the box says +/- 0,05mm, which is standard tolerance. That's not what I thought I was ordering. Update your website guys.
Second, and most disappointing issue is scanning the QR code does nothing. Imputing the "spool id" does nothing. Spool not found. Same for both rolls. So sad.
I haven't printed anything yet, and I am hoping and believe the prints will come out fine, but I am disappointed in this experience thus far.
RE: Dissappointed in first impression of Prusament ABS
Are you sure it was Prusament made by in-house at Prusa Research, and not filament from their selected suppliers. Prusament is clearly marked as Prusament, and they don’t make ABS only ASA. If you ordered filament that has box that says Prusa Research by Josef Prusa (not explicitly Prusament) with concentric circles on the box resembling pattern on spool, and it does not have spool with hexagonal grid, then it is one of their suppliers. Most probably Filament-PM and their EasyABS.

I did indeed order it from shop.prusa3d.com to avoid the copycats. The packaging does have the drawing of the spindle. So far the filament is excellent. Just wished Prusa Research was honest in their advertising. The spool id system is broken!

@crawlerin
Ah, I see now what you mean. The ABS is not considered "prusament" so it does not work with the spool id lookup. Thanks for clearing that up.
I am definitely happy with my purchase now!
