Deleted models on printables
I am noticing lately a lot of the models that I had downloaded even in the not to distant past, are now "deleted" on printables. Is this because the the designers have pulled them off? I know some of the designers have the same models on other sites as well. I don't think most of these are due to improperly claiming ownership.
I was just wondering why I am seeing this happen a lot lately.

I don't think most of these are due to improperly claiming ownership.
You may be surprised, there's an awful lot of it about. Any site that offers benefits or permits charging is considered fair game by some scammers.

A few weeks ago, Makerworld launched its "Exclusive Models" program, which provides additional value for designs that don't appear on other platforms. I suspect that this is why many designers have deleted their models from Printables.

Just checked and my only recent print that has been deleted is on maker world
