ColorMix for EasyPrint and PrusaSlicer 2.9.6

r/prusa3d - ColorMix for EasyPrint and PrusaSlicer 2.9.6

We just released Prusa ColorMix 🌈 a new feature in PrusaSlicer 2.9.6 and EasyPrint that allows you to combine your loaded filaments into new colors.

ColorMix in new EasyPrint:  https://www.printables.com/slice
ColorMix in PrusaSlicer:  https://github.com/prusa3d/PrusaSlicer/releases
Our new precise ColorMix model licensed under MIT:  https://prusa3d.github.io/prusa-fdm-mixer/
The new OpenPrintTag Material Database:  https://database.openprinttag.org/brands

Read more about it here:  https://blog.prusa3d.com/our-new-open-source-colormix-model-in-prusaslicer-and-easyprint_136079/

Huge thanks to the community team that brought so much attention to the feature: u/ratdoux, u/justinh-rabh under  https://github.com/justinh-rahb , as well as u/wombley for their filament-mixer library and u/huntercook for his work on the peggypalette.

RE: ColorMix for EasyPrint and PrusaSlicer 2.9.6

Looks like a good start. There are two things I would like to see added:

1) Once you create a virtual color source, there is no way to see what was created unless you click the button again. There should be a visible list of the colors/virtual tools you have created directly in the main interface, maybe under the Tools section.

2) I understand that, in your testing, you only saw results at 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% mixing. However, there needs to be a custom mixing option similar to Orca. A slider for changing shades is a must. Different filament brands will perform differently, for better or worse, so there should be an advanced option for shading and custom mixes.

But anyway, a 7-color test print is currently in progress on the Prusa XL.
