Cleaning Nozzle after color change?

Folks,  I changed filaments after a few layers on a recent print and had a problem with excess filament on the nozzle after the change.   In this case, I went from TPU to PETG, but this has also happened with merely changing from 1 color PLA to another color:   the filament change leaves too much filament on the nozzle, messing up the print.

Am I missing a setting in PrusaSlicer?

Is there a software / hardware change that's needed?

Thanks!

Filament curling up and sticking to the nozzle is sometimes a symptom of nozzle wear and sometimes of damp filament - but TPU is more likely than most to stick to coated and ceramic nozzles.

About the only setting that might be worth changing is the Purge Volume.

Cheerio,

I don't think you're going to get much from prusaslicer in that regard. I'd invest in some precision forceps and just grab everything from the nozzle. In my hands that seems to do the job pretty well.
