I am using Pi2B with OcotPi OS without issues.
No heatsinks, since I did not imprison my Pi2B in a case.
It is mounted with both sides air on my OctoPi holder, together with Raspberry v1 scene camera on top:

Pi2B is limited to 1 USB port which is used to connect with my Prusa MINI+.
I use a 2nd (USB) camera with OctoPrint, and had to use a small USB hub allowing to connect both, MINI+ and camera with the Pi2B.
OctoPrint allows to toggle between scene view and nozzle view camera!
