Wonky Rocket from Thingiverse
A lot of people are having a hard time with layer seams on rounded and cylindrical surfaces. Would you mind sharing your slicer settings? Did you do any post-processing?

Care the share the file? That would be a great trophy for a school rocket launch.

Here is the link to the original design on thingiverse,

The reason that the spheres look smooth is because I airbrushed the part with white acrylic paint. Trust me it had layer lines!

Did you do the same/similar with the rocket? I was looking for layer lines on the nose area.

BTW, what keeps it from falling over--are the clouds weighted with something?

Beautiful model/print/job. :geek:

That's "MISTER Old Fart" to you!

Maria, HI! No I certainly can't take credit for the model. See the link to Thingiverse above. 300ZXCOLIN Is the fellow who created it.

Rufus, Yes I white primer painted the rocket and finished it with Krylon Metalic spraypaint. I should have taken some pictures of the unpainted print. I will make sure I do that in the future. There were actually some gaps where the nose cone meets the needle that I had to fill in with bondo.

The clouds are 20% infill so the base is heavier than the little rocket. The entire model is pretty light!
