Supply Reel Spaghetti Ball
A couple of times I have suffered the Supply Reel Spaghetti Ball syndrome (see photo) when large excursions of the X-axis cause windings on a full or almost full reel to "overflow" the reel and tangle around the spool holder's horizontal element. I have been using a small C-clamp (colored red in the photo) to constrain the feed path somewhat, but it failed miserably here, as you can see.
I recall seeing (Here? Thingiverse?) a filament guide that clips onto the upper frame element (similar to the dual spool support bracket) that provides a filament entry point very close to the spool edge to keep this from happening, but I cannot now locate it. Does anyone else recall seeing this guide, and can you please provide a link to it. Or do you have other solutions?

That's not the one I remember seeing, but it certainly looks like it will do the job. I'll try it. Thanks for the link.

@cwbullet
IIRC, it was round and only slightly larger than 1.75mm filament.

There are a huge number of options out there. I would just pick on and try it. If it does not work for you, just print another. I printed one and I am going try to incorporate it into my spool holder.
