Missing Thumbnail after public beta
Hi,
After Prusa Connect went public, I no longer get Thumbnail or other printerinformation from the Slicer to Prusa Connect. As far as I can understand, no other part of my setup is changed.
Is this a known bug?
HW: Raspberry Pi Zero 2W
Prusalink Verison: 0.6.0
Printer Prusa i3 MK3+
Printer UUID: CZPX4420X004XK27131
Printer FW: 3.10.1-4697
Slicer verison: 2.4.1

Turns out my hotfix broke a version check on the Connect side without me realizing it. This should fix it if anyone wants to give it a try: https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/postid/595198/ Also boot messages are back
A bigger update is coming, this is just a temporary fix
RE: Missing Thumbnail after public beta
After som more troubleshooting:
In prusalink the thumbnail and print info (material, printtime, etc) shows as earlier, but this information is missing in prusa connect. This is just for the files that was uploaded after the beta went public.
RE: Missing Thumbnail after public beta
I am getting the same thing. In Prusalink everything appears fine. But in Prusa connect non of the thumbnails are appearing. And if you go to projects and click on a project it says file not found. Anything uploaded on 3/8/22 shows up fine everything after has no thumbnail.
RE:
Did not realize the "File not found" error when trying to open the project. Everything uploaded a week ago is fine!
I have the same error. I guess this is a bug with Prusa Connect. Might be that Prusa Connect caches the info for the old files, and thats why they are still appearing.
EDIT: This is probably the same bug reported here: https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/bugs-errors/file-not-found-error/

Any luck with uploading the .gcode file directly to either PrusaLink or PrusaConnect without using PrusaSlicer? It may just be that the thumbnail increases the file size dramatically, but I'm unable to "upload" the file with the thumbnail to PrusaConnect as well using Chrome. (I can use PrusaSlicer without a problem, but the Thumbnail doesn't work).
Tried looking at the logs but it appears that just leaving the Pi and the printer on overnight when not being used makes over 21+ pages of "Send Info" commands that check if the printer is still on, etc. 😅

RE:
Hi, this is caused by an incompatibility of the new web version with the older 0.6.0 (HOTFIX) you guys have. Sorry about that.
The command that asks for file info passes arguments differently, the old version expects a field "args" and it is not getting them anymore.

I can confirm that with the 0.6.1 version the thumbnails and print info is back 😀

wow speedy
RE: Missing Thumbnail after public beta
So how should an update be performed without having to re-flash the sd card and reinitialize the PrusaLink/PrusaConnect process? As I will also need to re-add the config file to have it work via USB cable.
If a help guide can be created, even if it's a pretty simple process, it would be great!

No great options this time around. You can still transfer the folder with PrusaLink and also copy and enable the boot message service from /etc/systemd/system/boot-message.service or how it's called, or you could transfer the config files. Sorry for the inconvenient updates, as I said elsewhere, it will get better over time.
RE: Missing Thumbnail after public beta
I backup Prusa Link gcodes folder and prusa_printer_settings.ini before update,
Send new img to card,
prusa_printer_settings.ini and Prusa Link gcodes folder i upload to card,
After start printer in PrusaConnect not thumbnail in gcodes are show;/
RE: Missing Thumbnail after public beta
@Olafejs:
I did this also.
I had to delete and Reupload the gcodes I uploaded after the PrusaConnect Update that broke the thumbnails.
After that the thumbnails for those Files showed up. Before reuploading the files I also didn't have any thumbnails.
Also make sure that you set the G-Code Thumbnails Setting of your Printer in Prusa Slicer to 400x400.
If you don't do that Thumbnails wouldn't show at all.
