Change TimeZone / Time server (NTP) and Linux network Machine name
Hi, i seem to notice a settings file that can be downloaded from PrusaConnect, it seems to use the NAME as type in to the PrusaLink, this raises a question, the Linux install on the PI, has a machine NAME and TIME / ZONE, how are these changed? SSH was disabled, so i am unable to access the LINUX install to do this, please advise.
The reason for posting here, is theres no huge reason why this cant be done from the PHP / web interface, however it needs to be coded in to the design...

Why do you want to change these? You can always re-enable the ssh utilizing the ssh file pi sd boot partition trick. There is a lot of configurable stuff on the zero, what would this enable?
Also I don't know what are you talking about in regards to the machine NAME, please provide a screenshot.

I set the TIMEZONE before i pushed the IMG to SD card through PI Imager, however for what ever reason it didnt do the Daylight savings, so the timezone is wrong somehow. I need to do more research on this, as it may not be correct, b ut it was an hour out a few days ago (the local upload / finish times were an hour off, ero a local Time issue).
NAME, well the computer (PI) has a name its known on the LAN as (this is built in to the Linux image), however i notice in PrusaConnect a settings file can be downloaded Printer > Settings > LAN settings), in this file it has "[network]hostname = mk3s-mmu2", this is not the host name of mine, so what relation does this ini file have?

Oh, right. Yea, the file is universal between all printers, and being able to set the hostname to minis and XLs and such is useful. I hope that's what it's for. Yet on the Pi it has not been implemented. It requires a restart and root privileges. So it's a pain to do.
The timezone should not be a problem except in logs. We should use the unix timestamp so your system timezone should affect the time shown through the browser
In other words the timezone set on the device used to view the information should convert to the appropriate time.

which screen is that? The local web interface does not contain upload finish times as far as I know. Was it the "file modified at" date, or was it the Transfers screen in Connect?

When a print is running the local Dashboard has times on it, i am sure they were an hour off.... i need to review as needed prints so wasnt monitoring.

So sorry to still not get this. I do not see a start time on that screen. I see an estimated end time and the date and time the file was last modified. It is possible they display wrong, please report that. I'm just trying to make sure you didn't mistake the last modified date for print start date, because that could kind of explain the issue. But I get that comes off as disrespectful. Please do not take it that way. Thank you

It was the "modified" when i first started using this, it was an hour out, ive just tested it with a print now and its ok... so i would assume the local time on the Pi is correct.

The date displayed in PrusaConnect seems to be based on incorrect timezone calculations: I just renamed files on the USB drive, and when I plugged it back into the printer, PrusaConnect showed some file dates as "tomorrow". To be exact, 9 hours later than the actual time I made the modification. Relatedly, I live in Japan, which timezone is UTC+9.
