How much vacuum did you apply while heating it? What's recommended? Maybe Stefan didn't apply enough vacuum.
There's a long and detailed thread here on the Prusa forums somewhere in which several people did a lot of testing. In the end, vacuum with readily available consumer equipment didn't yield a big improvement in results.

How effective are these electrically heated dryer boxes?
They appear to be virtually silent, unlike a food dehydrator that some people use.
