Pretty awful surfaces
Hi there,
I just got hold of an used Prusa Mini+, recently. Now trying to perform some test, and it turned out, the surface looks very awful. Please see the photos down below. Me not being a 3D printing expert by any means, but my guess is, that either the nozzle is set too low, or the filament has caught some mositure - or a mixture of both? Can someone who has a clue, please confirm / comment? Thank you very much.
Cheers,
Marc
RE: Pretty awful surfaces
What filament, what temperatures for nozzle/bed? Even with wet filament the issues should not be that severe on first layer, but drying it usually is recommended no matter what 🙂
Also try to tune z offset for first layer.
There should be plenty of forum threads about what urls/models are useful for first layer a d filament drying temperatures/devices.
See my GitHub and printables.com for some 3d stuff that you may like.

What @_KaszpiR_ said, and ... because it's summer ... make sure that the ambient temperature in the room you are printing is below 30C / 85F. PETG gets awfully tacky at temperatures of 90F and above.
Prusa Core One, MK4S w/ MMU3 (formerly MK4 / MMU3, MK3S+/MMU2), 2 Prusa MINI+, Octoprint. PETG, PVB, (some) PLA.
