Nozzle hitting print plate?

On the latest of several similar prints, the nozzle seems to have hit the print plate during the initial layers, which has resulted in visible markings on the print plate for a portion of the first layer.
I had done two previous prints and wasn't really paying attention when it started, It seems to have failed to extrude the test line and a few cm of the border of the print, but then extruding started normally, and the 4 hr print finished without issue.
The printer was fairly recently calibrated, about 10-12 hours of printing.
Any idea what could have caused this, and how to prevent it in the future?

(smudges are from handling the plate post-print)

RE: Nozzle hitting print plate?

did you print something that was already sliced? I've had this kind of issue and almost destroyed my plate when I downloaded some model which had custom Z level adjustment and didn't pay attention. was able to stop right when it started purge line.

another situation where you change sheets and don't do calibration. Remember, each sheet needs to be recalibrated on Mini

can you include picture from front where nozzle and PINDA is visible?
