Maximum -z value for calibration
Hi, What is the maximum (minimum?) -z value. I am at -182 right now and still not there and adhesion is not yet good.
Thanks,
Joe

Values more negative than -1.0mm on the Mk3 may benefit from adjusting the PINDA. There's some variation, but the PINDA works best closer. Confirm what printer you're using, a kit or pre-built, and whether this is a new issue.

Brand new machine just got it this past week. The printer came in three parts. Not fully assembled but not a real kit. And obviously then this is new to me.

The maximum/minimum value depends on the PINDA position. How to calibrate it look here:

MINDA is sniffing metal of up to 2 mm. If you place MINDA 1 mm above metal surface like steel sheet, your -Z value will be around -1 mm. I usually put a piece of paper so that nozzle lightly scrapes it, and adjust MINDA to the height of a plastic card (credit, member, ...). Then do first layer calibration.

Grrrr. On mobile it wasn't apparent this is a Mini post. Please ignore my previous post.

Thanks folks for the help.

Thanks, I need to do this. I'm at -1.9 ~ -2.0 mm (the max possible setting) in order to get a good first layer calibration. This seemed wrong, and I wasn't sure what I needed to adjust.
The guides for the Mini don't seem to include adjustment of this sensor.
