How can I reorganise these wires?
I recently purchased another Prusa Mini+ (secondhand) and I noticed that these small wires are running through the lid of the case like this:
Also - this is after I removed the bolt holding the lid for the power supply - before, it looked like they were getting considerably pinched in the tight gap between the lid and case of the power supply.
My other Prusa Mini looks like this:
It looks like these wires go neatly underneath on this Prusa Mini
How can I tidy up these wires so that they go underneath the case through the gap?

1. Open the box of both printers and see if there is a hole in the new one, then you can reprint new case or just use tools to make a hole
2. By 'loose' you mean they are not attached to anything? It's just spare parts for replacement if needed.

Thanks for the reply ! It looks like there is a hole in the new one for those wires to go through - I was just a bit anxious to remove any wires from the power supply without asking here first -
On opening the case, it looks like the two loose wires I previously mentioned are for the power switch which seems to have been moved to the LCD screen unit on this printer - so I presume I just connect these to the power switch:
When assembling the printer I also noticed that a USB drive was included - I messaged the seller and they said that it contains the firmware and it always needs to be plugged into the printer else it won't function properly. I thought this was a bit strange as my first printer didn't have that, but perhaps they're different versions of the mini? Hopefully this won't prevent me from using Octopi in the future?

Not yet sorry I haven't hooked up the loose cables to the power switch yet - just waiting for confirmation here as I don't want to get them the wrong way round 😥

Mini stores state of the print on pendrive, this way it can resume on power loss.

Yes but it sounds like the firmware is booting of it

The loose cable to the power switch can go any way round it just joins the circuit

Ah okay great thanks I'll just connect them up however then -
I also think I've found the socket that the 4 wires connect to - it looks like I can just pull this out and thread the wires through the right hole and plug it back in.
Regarding the USB I'm still a bit confused as to why the firmware has to be run from it rather than it being saved onto the printers PCB somewhere especially as it's only 2MB, and the other printer doesn't require it - nonetheless I guess I'll just keep it in as I only need the micro USB port to connect to a Raspberry Pi

Mini stores state of the print on pendrive, this way it can resume on power loss.
This option is what mini (+) owners have been waiting for for almost three and a half years.
So keep in mind that if there is a power failure the mini (+) will not continue printing.
Two weeks ago I came across this on github regarding the Power panic (resume printing) option.

the implementation of this feature proved to be extremely tricky.
The various SW solutions that we tested so far proved to be unreliable or even hazardous.
We will not release a feature that is not considered to be totally safe but this won't prevent us from keeping on trying.

Thanks all for the help - I ended up unplugging a lot of the wires and re-connecting them following the Prusa Mini+ assembly guide and everything looks a bit more organised now.
I attached the power wires and the Mini seems to be working (apart from a calibration issue but I'll post that in another thread)
The USB contains a firmware file but seems to load up correctly without the USB being plugged in so perhaps it's not necessary to keep it plugged in if I'm using octopi
