First timer - odd test results
New to 3D printing. I have a Mini+ that I just setup. Prints are turning out acceptably, but very small details are not. I was able to print a good version of Benchy, but the letters underneath are illegible.
So I printed this test I found, and notice that on the right, the print forms a cohesive layer, but on the left, every strand is still individual. And the drift seems to grow the further left I go.
I don’t know how to begin diagnosing the problem. Any pointers?

I do not think you are low enough. If you can see through the "threads" they are not merged and it is due to the extrusion not being smooshed against the plate.

Looks like your printer is not squared up. See these resrouces:

Then re-do the Z calibration and make sure your nozzle is low enough.
