E Steps

I'm new to Prusa printers, I've used an Ender 3 pro for 2 years and have applied many mods to make it a good 3d printer 🙂 I've got my mini yesterday after a 12-week wait, LOL... but hey let's face it the world is upside down right now!

I've noticed on a few test prints what looks like under extrusion, on the Ender 3 nine times out of ten you calibrate the e-steps and bingo problem is gone... what the procedure with a Prusa MINI?

Best Answer by Crawlerin:

Esteps are set firm in firmware. You don't generally do that on Prusa Printers with stock extruders. It's better to use extrusion multiplier in slicer to adjust it.

If you are suffering from under-extrusion after some time of printing, I'd check one of numerous threads here like this one discussing this issue. Chances are your printer may be suffering from shorter inner PTFE tube and you need to adjust your hotend.

@crawlerin

Thanks for that, old 3d printer problems in a new printer is a little shocking but I'll engineer them out 🙂
