feet?

prusa sent some thick rubber strips to put on the bottom of the printer but the sheet metal they stick too is not perfectly flat so it ends up rocking a little bit on mine. Anyone else have that?

I'm thinking about printing 8 pads to screw to the holes in the bottom and using 8 70 durometer isolator pads but not sure if thats gonna allow to much movement when it's printing fast.

RE: feet?

You can cut each pad in half and stick them to each corner and try to avoid the bent part.

I cut the foam pads into 8 pieces, works a treat 🙂

RE: feet?

For no good reason I was just looking through the Mk4S enclosure assembly manual (even though I don't even have that enclosure, and I'm wondering if something like the feed holders they mentioned there might work.

When I received my CORE One, apparently the Fedex guys had managed to damage the box, lost a few things, and retaped it. While the printer itself was fine, I didn't receive the anti vibration feet (NOR THE HARIBO!!!). So I just took some felt pads for furniture/chairs/etc I had lying around and stuck them to the corners. Two weeks in, it has worked out great, so I'm not even sure I will install the anti vibration feet Prusa Support is sending me.

RE: feet?

I think Prusa read your post, this is the latest version of the feet supplied with the Mk4S to Core One conversion kit

RE: feet?

I've been looking at these.  While they didn't list the Core One I'm sure it would be pretty easy to make a 3d printed adaptor.

RE: feet?

I can vouch for these squash ball feet.  They do a very good job of isolating the vibration of the machine from the surface that it's sitting on.  They allow the printer to wobble very slightly, but that doesn't seem to affect print quality at all.

RE: feet?

Do you have a recommendation for the squash balls? A link to a part would be appreciated.

RE:

I bought mine at the local Decathlon - Perfly double yellow dot 'Super Slow'.

I don't know the first thing about squash, except that these double yellow dot balls don't bounce as much as faster balls, so presumably that makes them the softest?  I'd seen them recommended as printer feet so went with those, and I have no complaints.  I haven't done any back-to-back comparisons, but I'm still very pleased with the print quality, and I'm not aware that they've affected it in any way.

RE: feet?

I ordered some double-yellow dot squash balls. I didn't realize that detail meant something until now- thank you.
