Another Left Sided Filament Mod

After looking at the current options for feeding filament from the left side of the Core One, I wasn't happy with losing the left acrylic window, or the overall look of the other mod to achieve this, so I set about something simpler.

Basically I just ran a new PTFE tube parallel with the main cable, out of the spare cable entry/exit hole in the rear left of the machine, in to the left side (as you look at the rear of the printer) of the wiring compartment, and out of the right side using the existing hole. Then I just coupled 2 x PC4 M6 fittings together with a part I knocked up in Fusion, which screws to the rear of the chassis (using an existing hole). 

Obviously I removed the stock PTFE tube as it wouldn't be long enough, kept it in case I wish to switch back to stock at any point.

It all works surprisingly well, I can feed nicely from my filament drier next to the Core One, switching filament is easy, quick and can be done with one hand. The mod can be done with just a couple of PTFE fittings which cost next to nothing, and a quick 5-10 minute print for the part which screws to the Core One. It can be done without any drilling or printing huge parts, completely non-destructive and reversible, the machine can be completely back as stock in less than 5 minutes. I thought maybe there would be resistance when loading/unloading filament but it's fine, the only resistance is the final tight bend above the extruder, which is the same as stock.

The only downside I can see from this approach, is the loss of the filament runout sensor, but in all honestly after using Prusa printers for about 5 years, I've only ever set the thing off once, so its no big loss for me. When I get the time I'll look at implementing the sensor again in some way.
