WS7040 7040 Blower Fan On mini

Hi all!

I’m playing with idea of using brushless turbo fan for cooling prints. I found this fan. I had that idea few years ago on my diy build, but didn’t go with it, since I was not sure how to connect it to printer board.

Description:

When you want to use the potentiometer knob to control the fan speed, you only need to connect the driver board directly to the 24V DC power supply.

When you need to use the motherboard or Raspberry Pi to control, just take out the potentiometer, connect the signal pin of the driver board to the 5V or 3.3V pin of the motherboard, and connect it to GND.

Marlin:

enable "FAN SOFT PWM" and set "

SOFT PWM SCALE"to 5

will this work with buddy board?

As I understand it, I have to connect power to main power supply ( thinking to use meanwell 24V 350W power supply. And disconnect potentiometer and connect signal wire to 5V pin and ground wire of potentiometer to negative wire of fan output?
