RE: V6 on Mini: Heat Creep?
@cwbullet
Lost in shipping is bad. Maybe the delivery just takes longer. I've been waiting for weeks for Prusa spare parts, which are usually delivered in 3-4 days. The original parts are simply more precise and clean processed, which makes the operation, especially the important hotend, more reliable in the long run.
Who or what is "Craigs list"

Could the supplier reproduce this and did you receive a replacement delivery? This is of course an annoying situation 😒 .

No. It was a fault collet, collet clip, or heatsink.

My printer just arrived. It was delivered to the wrong address about 1 KM away. Darn FEDEX.

I live in Minnesota… Been having extrusion issues… Tried all the Prusa documentation and chat suggestions… But it persists so thinking it’s heat creep ... So probably need to take out heat break and re-seat it…
But having difficulty finding an appropriate thermal paste to use that may be sourced in the US ... trying to avoid shipping cost from Prusa of the AG Thermo Pasty 😎
Do you have a US source of thermal paste ?
Thank You !!

I always use copper paste: https://www.motorexusa.com/products/copper-paste and have never had any problems of this kind.

It is also important to use some copper paste on the small screws in the heating block. This prevents them from corroding and getting jammed or makes them easier to loosen.

RE: V6 on Mini: Heat Creep?
Hello ... so I am trying to get the heater cartridge out of the heater block, but its in tight .... any tips on getting it out ?
RE: V6 on Mini: Heat Creep?
@prusatv
To do this, I would warm up the heating block with a heat gun and possibly bend the front slot open slightly with a screwdriver (Loosen the screw beforehand, of course).

A heat gun is one of the most useful tools for 3D printers. It also works to help clean up blobs of death.

And not to forget - Wera Allen keys - to loosen even persistent stuck screws 👍

Good quality tools are a must. Also a Torx key will sometimes able to loosen rounded hex screw 🙂
RE: V6 on Mini: Heat Creep?
@alex-hung
Exactly. If the Allen key no longer works, a Torx can solve the problem. I try whenever possible to use Tork screws, because they can be easily unscrewed without major problems. I also like to work with Wera tools in this case: https://www-de.wera.de/en/great-tools/torxr-tools-with-holding-function/
