thightest enclosure

Just want to share my enclosure build. My Room has only 10m² and has to serve for homeoffice, TV/media enjoyment, maker workshop for electronics and woodworking and stuff. So everything is tight, but its still nice. Thats why the printer has to fit in snuggly. I build it inside an IKEA ivar shelf.

A big wooden plate skrewed to the shelf and the wall via metal brackets serves as stable base. The walls are polycarbonat sheets bought in a local hardware store for only a few bucks. Beneath the printer is a polybox filament enclosure, an sunlu filydryer and boxes for used/fresh silica gel. All filament is feeded throught reverse bowden tubing to the extruder. (recently upgraded to bondtech IFS extruder, much better than a dangling fila sensor)
Over the printer I have my dry box for max 5 1kg rolls. Directly under the wooden base I have 3 small drawers for printer accessories sorted in groups: "cleaning" "printing" "maintenance"

I have an LED flood light on top. It was just a test for the light and not meant for the printer, but it is so nice, it will stay there. I still search for an solution to integrate the light, other than laying it on top.

Still missing is a fan. I already have it and I have a plan where it goes, but didn't find the time to install it.

BTW the enclosure is so tight that the bed has max 1cm space between the doors and the left side of the x axis has alsoonky 1cm until the wall.

You can move the printer more backwards by using the modified heatbed connector cover, the cable has a better angle:    https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/50799-prusa-mini-heatbed-connector-cover-48deg-longer

thx for the hint. I will try out. I think I will move the printer only a bit backwards, but it looks like this thingy will route the cable in a better way. Currenlty it bumps to the wall when bed is fully slided backwards.

My problem is similar. Little space on the Y axis.

RE:

oh cool, nice setup!

Hmm the idea is great, but it doesn't fit for my purpose. I will make my own connector cover  ... a bit longer and with another angle.

BTW I published my x cable guide and the hygrometer mount... if somebody wants that ...
