Sorry I hadn't responded. I actually thought I had but must have just watched them. Thanks for linking. I think I'll try the one that used the Auto rtv. I have some of that.

Hi LichtJaeger, do you happen to still have socks available to sell? 🙂

These aren't the same, but I'd argue that they are better 🙂
I used to make my own design myself, but these are professionally made, still the same design though!

I stumbled upon some made just for the Mini on Etsy of all places, I was buying something else from the vendor for my Mini and checked out what else they had…

I will install one tomorrow and see how it works out, I too am working on things I can do to avoid or at least minimize blob damage

When you add a sock to the Prusa mini, do you need to run any kind of PID autotune and/or temperature calibration? My mini is arriving soon and I order the sock-x by @thomas-levendig.

Yes you should PID tune the hotend with the sock on, as it adds more temperature stability.

It's actually recommended not to do so, and adding the sock makes a minor difference anyways. You can find more information about PID tuning on the Prusa Mini here: https://github.com/prusa3d/Prusa-Firmware-Buddy/releases/tag/v4.3.3
