Remote monitoring camera connection?

So I got my Mini this week and just finished my  first print (ever, of anything)!

From here: https://blog.prusaprinters.org/original-prusa-mini-is-here-smart-and-compact-3d-printer/

Basically, everything you can achieve with OctoPrint can be done on this mainboard as well – even a camera connection (although it runs at 1 fps)!

Wondering about remote monitoring and control and when/if it's available.  Any news or speculation on the OctoPrint-replacement capabilities on the mainboard, like the camera connection?

octoprint works with the mini, just use the mini-usb port on the buddy board

Thanks @david-a66.  Wasn't asking if octoprint works, was specifically asking about the capabilities alluded to in the link/quote.

From elsewhere in the blog, it looks like the link above was referring to PrusaConnect, and that will be released sometime early 2020.

Technically octoprint/raspberry pi does not need to be connected to the printer in order to see the webcam view 😉

@texy, this is true! I actually have an HD security camera pointed at mine currently.  With the app I can watch it from a tablet anywhere in my house.  Can't interact with it though! 🙂

Update: Still waiting for the replacement probe, I got impatient so I replaced the probe wire (cut, soldered, heatshrinked) all but a couple inches on either end.   It  worked!  About 10 hours of nice clean prints so far.

Seems crazy that a zip tie could crush a wire this way!  Mentioned in another thread but I'm probably going to try something like this: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4082541
