Replacing Hotend thermistor and heater with unofficial parts

Hello!

I need to replace my Prusa Mini + nozzle thermistor and nozzle heating cartridge.

Since they are out of stock on the official Prusa website and I’m not setting the official one anywhere else, so I looked around and I found the E3D products linked below. I am asking to find out if these are compatible with the Prusa Mini+.

HOTEND THERMISTOR:

Does the cartridge fit and does the cable included plug into the board correctly?

https://www.filastruder.com/products/e3d-thermistor-cartridge?variant=30329613680711

HOTEND HEATER:

Is the 24V 40W premium one ok?

https://www.filastruder.com/products/e3d-heater-cartridge?_pos=11&_sid=6600d3327&_ss=r&variant=17411368550471

Also for the hotend heater, do I need to purchase a new Molex connector or should I be able to use the old one?

thanks so much!

Let me know how it goes. I'm in a similar position at the moment.

Will do. I’ve ordered the E3D Premium 24 v 40 w heater cartridge and the E3D 104GT thermistor, we shall see!

I’ve received the parts and installed them, I did a few first layer calibration runs so I’ve done some basic printing and it looks pretty good, planning on starting a benchy soon. The E3D cables are a little long obviously, but I just coiled up the slack and stuffed it into the electronics box. The only thing I need to mess with is better PID tuning, but it seemed to work ok right out the box. Good luck on yours!

Did the same on mine, works fine, but the extra length of the cables meant they are now partly outside the loom and the electronics box.
