Prusa Mini in a Festool Systainer

Hi,

I'm looking to make a portable setup with Prusa Mini and was looking at Festool Systainers to move the machine. Prusa states that machine's outer dimensions are 320x330x380, while the closest systainer I found has 389x275x39m internal dimensions (275 is standard depth across the whole range).

I was wondering whether there is a reasonably straightforward way to partially disassemble the machine for transport to fit in the systainer? Or whether there are other suggestions for transport solutions?

Thank you!

No.  Disassembly will require you to make too many adjustments and recalibration.  I would find a bigger box.

Thank you, Chuck. It's quite a struggle to find a ready-made transportable case like this, but i guess I'll just have to look harder.

Stanley FatMax case? The 50L (STST1-80150) should be OK.

@adesir thank you for the suggestion. the thing is though that they only give external dimensions, which are 66,5 x 40,4 x 34,4, and considering Mini's 320 x 330 x 380 this may be a very tight fit.

@adesir

From my iPhone, it think you are right but I do not have my reading glasses.

Hi,

I would check out ZARGES aluminum boxes for this purpose: https://www.zarges.com/en/products/packaging-transportation/boxes
