Does this frame allow you to use the original z height? I also am not interested in getting more height. I only want the ability to make the chassis stiff and put on a direct drive extruder.

A few questions if anyone can help please?
I'm going to order the specific mini bear upgrade kit from aliexpress from blurolls.
I want to use my current mini Z and smooth rods as i'm not bothered about gaining for height from Z, so will print out the stuff kindly provided by tompson for that.
I will order a new official Z motor from prusa.
Do I need to order new belts for X and Y and new bearings etc?
What is a good new entire hotend with direct drive to get? one from aliexpress or?
This new direct drive hotend will fit on the mini X smooth rods and belts?
I just want to make sure I get everything ordered at once as the postage costs are very high.
here is what i currently have, any help with what i still need please, hotend etc, can i get the hotend from some other company or?

Hi again. Yes the stoplimit i found out yesterday than i did the wizard. I put some temporary limits but i think i put them 1-2mm to high. I was to exited to start printing so i save that for today:)

Yes this is standard height, you can use the original mini Z or a mk3s Z,
You could probably also cut the Z extrusion to lower it say 10 or 20 mm ? going by pictures on tomson and pear3d.ch

Yes. You can use OEM MINI Z-height. It´s 20mm lower than my extrusions bec. i use OEM Mk3 bear height on Z but it´s no problem to use full Z-height from the MINI and it´s very stiff so it´s no problem to use direct drive. I do not use the full length for printing but only use it as an extension for filament feeder and led-light

I understand what you mean😊 most of my print fits the MINI and i prefer to print on them before my mk3s. Some of it bec. of the meny with 32bit but everything feels better and smoother.

Yes for sure I love the 32bit and the fancy screen.
One thing i just can't get right on the mini no matter what I do is PETG, I have tried all sorts but it always strings and blobs, the same PETG prints beautifully on the mk3s+, I'm hoping when I do the mini bear upgrade and add the mk3s+ full hotend to it that it will print PETG like a mk3s+.
Did you ever have trouble with petg on the standard setup mini?

No PETG was never a problem, shore it prints better and nicer now but not really a problem. I had most problem with some silk PLA like Extrudr. Most of the problem i ever had both OEM and with Bear-kit have bin heat-creep sometimes. Better with Bear-kit and totally gone after the hurricane build. Same with sag after printing in enclosure in high temp for a while i have had sag on the Super Pinda mount. That is also gone after the Hurricane. I have a M3 skrew mounted next to the Super Pinda to not let any sag of the mount.

And when you did petg on your original stock mini, did you change retraction or speeds etc or just all default settings?

ah, sorry... I though you were talking about rods (as parts).
I'm not familiar with Mini BEAR... maybe "special" means different rod diameter? I think you'll need to download both stl versions and look for differences in CAD software.
