Print cooling fan mod
I’m thinking to modify head with new print cooling fan. I was thinking to use external fan, as I did on my diy printer. But since there is only 5V output for fan, I was thinking to modify buddy board simply by adding external FET and controlling it with signal from fet on board.
photo for reference what I want to do on my min.
RE: Print cooling fan mod
Hi, Im curious if this worked for you? Im thinking of doing something similar. Using 2x12V blower fans for part cooling instead of the origial 5v fan.

Oh man that's cool! would you mind sharing the pcb design? or maybe sell me one (if you're in Europe)?

I'll just leave this here for future reference.
I ended up just buying one of theese:
https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-drv8871-brushed-dc-motor-driver-breakout?view=all
and connected the pwm from the fan slot on the buddy board to "in" and a 24V fan on motor, then 24v (also from buddy board right after the fuse) to power.
Works like a charm and only cost a couple of EUR.
happy printing.

Hi,
Can you tell me how to do that?
I want to add two (2) 24v blower fans and one 24v hotend fan.
Thank you
