Mini and Mini+ - have problem printing sharp clean edges
I have almost a year's experience using the Mini and I recently purchased a Mini +. I have the same problem on both. I print very high quality clarinet mouthpiece. The designs always have a "windway" that have a 32 mm cutout. These cutouts have to have very sharp edges. I am having a hard time achieving that without hand filing the printed piece. It happens when using either PETG or PLA. It's almost like the printer wants to print an echo of the geometry. I am thinking of switching to a 0.2 nozzle from my 0.4 nozzles, Will this help?
Any other suggestions will be appreciated. Maybe there different parameters in the Slicer which must made?

It seems you’re hitting the limitations of FDM printing. What comes out of the nozzle is a round string of filament, so it’s very hard (impossible?) to get a sharp edge. You may get closer by squishing the filament more (lower live z), but that’s not going to work with PETG which doesn’t appreciate being squished too much.
Going to a smaller nozzle might get you closer to where you want to be due to the smaller diameter of the filament exiting the nozzle.

I am going to try a .2 mm nozzle later today and I will report back.

Keep us posted. The obvious drawback of a small nozzle is that print times go up exponentially 😢

Fast does me no good if I can't use the product.
