RE: Improving air flow around nozzle

Finally had time to tinker with my mini. It now has dual fan. I just soldered the new one parallel to old one sans the signal line. Test print is under way. As my Carmine red had been sitting on the printer unused I thought it must be too moist to use. So I popped open package of Prusament PETG Urban Grey and loaded it.

Test print is about 2/3 ready, but already I can see I need to redo it. There's stringing, not much but more that I usually get with the Carmine red with this particular piece. Second, the test part is coming out bad, this is not acceptable. My previous print was usable, it had two not-so-nice sports, but was acceptable. This one has problems in the same places, but worse and it has few additional bad spots too. I try to get pictures at the beginning of the week. I think I might throw the grey roll into dryer and try again.

Curious that it got worse. Which shroud did you use for the second fan?

Do you have any pictures you can share on the new prints so we can see the difference? Potentially shed some light on any suggestions or issues that might not have been obvious prior.

Hi @karl-herbert,

Would you be able to send me this file so that I could print it and try and use it? also a link to the new hotend that you used? Also how crazy would it be to ask you to use the tools that you have to solder two fans together, or the process that you use, and send that over to me. I can pay you for it?

Regards

Manny
