Prusa enclosure cooling fan
I’m about to complete the build of my mk4 amd then I’ll be building up my enclosure, I was wondering if anyone has experience that they would share regarding an extraction fan for the enclosure? I’m considering something like the Arctic F12 TC which has a fly lead temperature sensor built in:

This thing matches the existing holes on the back pane of the enclosure (above the PSU) and it has an iris closing mechanism: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4934335

Ridiculously over engineered solution - I absolutely love it!
That is awesome; here was me thinking of Louvre’s or something similar. That is definitely on the list of things to play with and try to make!
being used with a nice Noctua I notice, unfortunately not the temp probe variety so I’d have to engineer something to sort that too.

AC Infinity sells nice fans, like the AI-MPB140A and it's AI-ATC controller.

Yeah, they do look nice - my only problem is I spent virtually all of my budget on the printer and enclosure 😟

I use this fan in my home theater and it does a great job of removing heat from my equipment.

Is your aim to merely limit the enclosure temperature? The only reason for that I can think of is when printing PLA. In that case you need as much air exchange as possible so that enclosure temperature stays fairly near to room temperature. My solution to that problem might not be very impressive but works just fine: Leave the enclosure door open. If you need to look at your budget I think that is a very reasonable approach. If you want something fancier, or if your printer room is very cold or has some airdrafts, of course there are the above options.
Or is your aim to extract fumes from the enclosure and blow them out of the window/room/building via vents?

These are all very good questions.
my need is to remove heat when printing PLA, which is my primary material.
i need the enclosure because the printer is located in my garage which is dusty and draughty for most of the year, in the summer months I should be able to leave the doors open but I’m still going to be liable for some draughtiness so I need to consider this too.
removing fumes etc is not a consideration as I’ll only be printing with PLA and PETG, but who knows, in the future I may try other materials, but if so I’d run a recirculating fan with a cartridge filter.
